APC-2 has excellent mechanical properties, its tensile strength is usually greater than 2000 MPa, its tensile modulus is greater than 135 GPa, its bending strength is usually greater than 1700 MPa, and its bending modulus is greater than 120 GPa. In addition, APC-2 has a series of excellent properties, including good impact resistance, excellent thermal stability at high temperature.

Due to the high melting viscosity of PEEK and its insolubility in almost any solvent, the preparation of continuous carbon fiber rod reinforced PEEK composites has always been a technical problem to be solved.
